About the project
The primary goal of EDIH DIGIHUB is to support the digital transformation of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and public sector organizations in the Southeastern region of Bulgaria. This will be achieved by providing a wide range of services aligned with regional and municipal strategies, aimed at boosting the innovative potential of SMEs and improving the digitalization of public service delivery.
DIGIHUB’s services are structured around four main pillars and are based on the strong expertise of the consortium members, with a specific focus on areas such as artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, big data, information and communication technologies (ICT), and distributed ledger technologies. The focus is on key economic sectors in the Southeastern region, including energy, healthcare, transport, logistics, and tourism.
The EDIH DIGIHUB project will contribute to achieving the goals of the funding procedure for European Digital Innovation Hubs by actively building a national network of hubs specializing in services related to digital and green technologies for micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises, as well as for public organizations in their non-economic activities. Through its operations, DIGIHUB will strengthen connections and coordinate efforts among various digital and innovation initiatives, supporting capacity-building in critical areas such as artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and ICT. Simultaneously, as part of the European network of EDIHs, DIGIHUB will serve as a vital access point for technological expertise and experimental facilities, promoting innovation and facilitating access to funding, thereby driving the digital transformation of industry and the public sector in Bulgaria and across the European Union.
The project partners for EDIH DIGIHUB are the Southeast Digital Innovation Hub Association (DIGIHUB) – coordinator, the DINT Foundation, ICT Cluster Burgas, “Prof. Dr. Asen Zlatarov” University, Burgas Free University, Burgas Municipality, the Regional Academic Center of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences – Burgas, and the AIBEST Association.
