The Construction Startup Competition 2026 has officially opened applications, bringing together startups, investors, and major industry leaders focused on the future of construction, infrastructure, and sustainable urban development.
Now in its 10th edition, the initiative has grown into one of the leading global platforms for construction innovation. The competition supports startups developing technologies that improve efficiency, sustainability, digitalization, and productivity across the construction sector.
This year’s edition is supported by major international organizations including Cemex Ventures, Caterpillar, Ferrovial, Hilti Venture, VINCI Group’s Leonard, NOVA by Saint-Gobain, Trimble, Zacua Ventures, and the Building and Construction Authority of Singapore.
The competition focuses on five strategic innovation areas shaping the future of the industry:
• Preconstruction Tech
• Jobsite Productivity & Building Systems
• ClimaTech for the Built World
• Smart Manufacturing & Logistics
• Smart Buildings & Infrastructure
Participating startups are developing solutions in areas such as artificial intelligence, BIM and digital twins, robotics, smart sensors, industrial IoT, energy optimization, sustainable materials, and carbon reduction technologies.
Selected companies will gain access to international networking opportunities, industry partnerships, pilot projects, and visibility within the global innovation ecosystem. Winning startups will also compete for equity-free cash prizes and the opportunity to present during international Pitch Days in Singapore, Helsinki, and Las Vegas.
The growing interest in ConTech and ClimateTech reflects a wider shift toward smarter and more sustainable infrastructure systems worldwide. Governments, corporations, investors, and innovation organizations are increasingly supporting technologies capable of transforming how cities and infrastructure are designed, built, and managed.
For organizations working in digital innovation and entrepreneurship, initiatives like the Construction Startup Competition highlight the growing importance of collaboration between startups, technology ecosystems, industry leaders, and public institutions.
At DINT, we continue to follow international innovation initiatives that support digital transformation, emerging technologies, and cross-sector collaboration across Europe and beyond.
