Startup World Cup Varna 2026 will take place on 4 June in Varna as part of Evolvex Summit 2026, bringing together startups, investors, entrepreneurs, and innovation ecosystem stakeholders.
The initiative is organised by Startup World Cup and Pegasus Ventures and forms part of one of the world’s largest startup competition networks, connecting regional innovation ecosystems with global investment opportunities.
The competition targets startups and innovative companies between one and seven years old that demonstrate scalability, investment potential, and ambition for international growth.
Participating companies will have the opportunity to present their solutions on stage in front of investors, ecosystem representatives, and industry experts. The selected winner from the regional competition will advance to the Startup World Cup global finals in San Francisco.
The competition also includes the opportunity to compete for a $1 million investment prize, alongside access to international investor and mentor networks.
Events such as Startup World Cup Varna highlight the growing role of Southeast Europe within the wider European startup ecosystem. Regional innovation hubs increasingly play an important role in supporting entrepreneurship, technology development, and cross-border collaboration.
For startups, participation in international competitions and innovation events provides opportunities to:
• gain investor visibility
• validate products and business models
• connect with international ecosystems
• access mentorship and strategic partnerships
• accelerate scaling opportunities
For organisations such as DINT Foundation and EDIH DIGIHUB, initiatives like this contribute to strengthening innovation ecosystems and improving connections between startups, investment networks, and digital transformation initiatives across Europe.
As competition for technology investment continues to grow globally, supporting local innovation capacity and international ecosystem integration remains increasingly important for long-term regional competitiveness.
